As you breathe out, your hands will move inwards as your belly contracts. Breathe intentionally and deliberately in through your nose. Breathe out with equal intention through your mouth. Be patient with yourself if you find it difficult to do this. It takes time to learn how to coordinate everything in this way. It doesn't matter if you're standing, sitting or lying down. It doesn't matter if your breath is fast or slow, deep or shallow. It doesn't even matter if your hands move or not. It does matter that you're comfortable (or as comfortable as you can be with your symptoms).
