> [!waypoints] [[31 Wishes List]] # 24 - May you remember to anchor yourself Published: 24 May 2025 Tags: #brainfog, #mindfulness With brain fog, it's really easy to get disoriented and feel like you don't know what you should be doing. Whenever you notice this, I hope you'll remember to [[anchor yourself]] to your body. Just like a boat might [[Anchors List|anchor]] to the sea floor so that it stays in position, anchoring yourself to your body when you have brain fog helps you come back to yourself and what you're doing. One method that works is to notice the physical sensations in your head. It might be tension in your tongue, jaw or eyes. Or a tingling sensation on your scalp. Or the feeling of pressure building inside your head that needs release. If it's easy to do, release some of the tension when you notice it. You'll find that the brain fog will lift a little, even if it's only for a moment. I hope those moments will grow longer for you with practice.
