Please give yourself *permission* to rest. You can't get everything thing done when you're already tired. Remember when you had more capacity? How easy was it for you get everything done anyway? But what if you can't? You're not alone. Many people are used to ignoring their fatigue and don't think about resting first. To practise giving yourself permission, choose one of these to practice this week: - Go to bed 30 minutes earlier than usual at night. Even if you don't end up sleeping straight away, you can lie in bed and do some intentional breathing in the dark until you fall asleep. [[31Wishes-1|Breathing into your hands]] might help. - Have a nap and recharge yourself once or more times a day. A 10-20 minute power nap will do wonders for your energy levels and mental clarity. It doesn't matter if you successfully rest or not. It matters that you're giving yourself permission to rest. 🐘 Be patient with yourself. Doing anything new takes effort and energy. It takes less energy once you're familiar with what to do and have an idea of what to expect. That's when you start noticing whether or not the strategy works for you. Over time, it'll become easier and easier to rest when you choose to rest.
